The short version: we collect your idea, your name, and your email — because that's what grading requires. We use them to grade, to deliver, and for nothing else. No selling, no ad tracking, no surprises.
Your idea submission (title, description, and the answers you give the quiz), your first name, and your email address. If you buy a Deep Dive, Stripe handles the payment — we never see or store your card number, only your purchase email and receipt details.
Exactly what you'd expect: grade your idea, show you the result, email you the report, and fulfill any Deep Dive you buy. We send transactional email only — your grade, your Deep Dive, and nothing else unless you ask for it. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We do not sell your data. We do not run ad trackers. Page analytics are anonymous, cookie-free counts of visits.
Your submission is sent to Anthropic's API to generate your evaluation and, if purchased, your Deep Dive research. Under Anthropic's API terms, data sent this way is not used to train their models.
Only the services that run Merit: Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Vercel (hosting and anonymous analytics), Neon (database), and Anthropic (AI evaluation). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. Nobody else, ever.
Your score certificate lives at an unguessable link. It becomes visible to others only if you share that link. We never publish your idea or your score ourselves.
